NGC's estate planning, trust and probate
administration practice

Lawyers in the estate planning, trust and probate administration practice at Nicola, Gudbranson & Cooper (NGC) draw on substantial and varied experience to help our clients retain wealth for future generations.

Our estate planning services are comprehensive and frequently done on a flat-fee basis. We develop estate plans to ensure that our clients' assets are passed on according to their wishes, while minimizing taxes and, if desired, avoiding probate. We prepare wills, trusts, general powers of attorney, health care powers of attorney and living wills, among other estate planning documents. We also help establish family entities, such as family limited partnerships and limited liability companies, when appropriate, and utilize other planning strategies in the right circumstances.

Our probate and trust administration services implement our clients' estate plans in a cost-effective manner. We have represented executors, administrators and trustees in the administration of modest to multimillion-dollar estates and trusts. We have also represented fiduciaries in the defense and settlement of estate and trust disputes.

In addition to estate planning and trust and probate administration, our practice includes business succession planning. We work with business owners to develop, prepare the required documents for and implement business succession plans that result in sales or other transfers of businesses to family members, employees and other third parties and coordinate the business succession plans with the owners' estate plans.
