Confusion remains over federal overtime rules
Trump puts them on hold, injunction remains

The Trump administration has advised the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that it does not intend to proceed with implementing the new overtime rules proposed under the Obama administration, leading to much confusion. As Matthew T. Fitzsimmons writes, the court's preliminary injunction blocking enforcement of the proposed rules, which were to take effect Dec. 1, 2016, is still in effect.
